Terms of Service

1. License

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use RetroCam on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Terms. Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, unless these terms say otherwise.

2. Your photos and videos

You own everything you shoot with RetroCam. We claim no rights to your content. All image processing happens on your device using Apple’s Core Image framework — your photos never leave your phone unless you choose to save or share them.

You are responsible for what you capture and share, including getting consent from people you photograph where the law requires it.

3. No account required

RetroCam does not require registration, login or any personal information to use. The app works fully offline with no internet connection.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use RetroCam to break the law or infringe other people’s rights. Do not reverse engineer, copy, resell or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.

5. Device names and trademarks

RetroCam recreates the look of historical cameras and phones. Product names such as those of camera and phone makers are trademarks of their owners, used only to describe the look being recreated. RetroCam is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its design, camera profiles, filter pipeline, effects, and the RetroCam name and icon are the property of Quantize Ltd. These terms do not give you any rights to them beyond the license in section 1.

7. Price and updates

RetroCam is currently free with no in-app purchases. We may add, change or remove devices and features in future updates. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future, but existing free functionality will remain free.

8. Privacy

RetroCam contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs. The app makes zero network requests. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer

RetroCam is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will never lose a shot. Back up anything important.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of RetroCam. Since the app is free, our total liability is limited to USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

11. Ending these terms

You can stop using RetroCam at any time by deleting the app. All locally stored preferences are deleted with it. We may end your license if you break these terms.

12. Apple

These terms are between you and Quantize Ltd., not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its maintenance or support, or any claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of Montana, Bulgaria.

14. Changes

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using RetroCam after a change, you accept the new terms.
